The SIP has C fire resistance class, but when you put to layers of gypsum board or 12mm MGO boards on SIP, it becomes 3rd fire resistance class building, the same as timber frame type of structure.
In my opinion:
In Scandinavia this building method is becoming more popular every year, for example 4years ago in Sweden were 2 manufacturers of SIP's in Norway non, now you have 11 in Sweden and 4 in Norway.
Due to increased air tightness and u-value requirements, SIP building system will gain more and more market share in the future.
Our Lithuanian companies www.sipcon.house ( SIP manufacturing ) and www.sipprojektai.lt (architectural company, which makes projects only with SIP system ) is specialising in this technology for several years and looking for partners in Norway to cooperate.
We already have many building built in Lithuania, also we export to Netherlands, Ireland and this year we will have first projects in Sweden, Denmark.
