Upgraded our guest bedroom this weekend with hardwired bedside wall lamps - the same style you see in luxury hotels. 3W focused 30° spotlight, matte black finish. Took about 30 minutes per lamp.
Why I chose wall-mounted over table lamps:
- Zero nightstand space used
- Focused beam for reading without waking my partner
- Hardwired = no ugly cords
- The 30° adjustable head points light exactly where needed
Install tip: turn off the breaker first, use a voltage tester, and make sure the mounting box is rated for the lamp weight. Standard US junction box works fine.
