Swapped my kitchen under-cabinet lighting from regular 5050 LED strip to COB (Chip-on-Board) strip. Huge difference: the COB version has 320 LEDs per meter, so there are NO visible dots - it looks like a continuous smooth line of light.

Comparison:
- Regular strip: visible LED dots, uneven light on countertops
- COB strip: perfectly smooth light, looks like a linear fixture
- CRI 90+ means colors look natural (food looks better!)

Install tip: COB strip cuts at marked lines, use solderless connectors for corners (no soldering needed), and pair with a 12V driver sized at 1.2x your total wattage.

Product: https://www.lrleds.com/products/8mm-cob-led-strip-light-320leds-m-5-meters
