Rørsystem till rørleggeranlegg / Pipes for main plumbing installation

I hope it is OK to write in English (with a few Norwegian words thrown in here and there)

Is there any reason I can't use 20mm Sanipex rør-i-rør pipes for everything installed in copper in this example below? Don't see any reason why I can't but in every example I see online these pipes between the main components of the plumbing/heating system are always made in copper.

Neighbour's example

I have been renovating my house and I've done all of the plumbing myself so far but I'm looking for a bit of information regarding the pipe system used in the zone in the photo example above regarding piping between main water in, water heater, fordelerskap, pump etc.

Here is what I've installed already.

I have installed hot and cold water supply using Sanipex rør-i-rør system and I've installed Arjonfloor/Sanipex pipes set in a 50mm avrettingmasse in 4 rooms. The drinking water is connected and in use already but the floor heating is not fully set up yet.

I've installed:
- Dobbelmantlet water tank
- Fordelerskap for drinking water + pipes to all appliances
- Fordelerskap for floor heating (4 courses) and pipes in floor for each course

- I have the pump, expansion tank, airvalve etc but need to install this part. I have the Sanipex toold and a bunch of 20mm Sanipex pipe left over so if it was possible to use this it would be ideal!

Any info greatly appreciated.

well. you could. for heating installations you have to use sanipex calor (if thats what they still call it). not the regular sanipex stuff. the regular pipes does not have an oxygen barrier in the pipes, and will eventually let some oxygen through and into the heating circuits.
You don't want that Smile

but remember that you have to size the pipes for the flow you need Smile

Yes, true. The same type of piping I've used to run the floor heating pipes. I actually also have a bunch of 20mm sanipex/armatur Jonsson pipe in that type as well.

Flow wise I only have 4 courses which cover about 30m2 then the capacity/flow is that required between those 4 courses (fordeler), pump and water heater which is a closed system with minimal flow. Then I will have a pipe from mains water in to the system to allow for easy filling when required.

I think I will take a meeting with a plumber just to check this over and ask some specific questions first anyway. Can't wait for all the dissaproving comments and looks of having done my own plumbing!
