Sorry to bump an old-ish thread. I'm just curious as to which Hub - Yale or Verisure - can I buy in order to have my Yale Doorman V2 connect with Google Home? Reading this thread it seems possible with the Yale hub, but does anyone know if it also works with the Verisure hub - without a Verisure subscription?
follow-up: if I were to just buy the smart module by itself, would I be able to connect it to my Smartthings hub (which I could then connect to Google Home, like I do with my Ikea smart plugs)?
Do not know anything about Verisure, but you can ONLY lock the door from Google Home when connected to the Yale hub. (As far as I know)
That's fine. I'm ok with it only being able to lock the door. I mainly would like the functionality to include locking the front door with my Google Home routines for when I leave the house/go to bed. I just don't think I can justify to the management (re: wife) 2000kr for the hub AND module just for the convenience haha. If I can get it to work with my existing Smartthings hub, however, then 500kr is a little more manageable...
I do not think Verisure supports any kind of Google Assistant integration at this point in time.
I believe Yale makes several of those Doorman-modules for different alarm systems, but I cannot find that information again (I think it was on Yale UK pages)...
Going the Yale Hub route will enable the possibility to expand the system with sensors for intruders, door/windows, etc making it a complete alarm-system. -An alarm system free of any plans/subscriptions that is.
It think it often comes down to what level of smart-house/automation you want to be at. Voice-commands and ready-made solutions for some sensors, Google Assistant is the way to go. For more advanced requirement, perhaps other systems like Homey, Home Assistant, etc is the way to go.

Thanks for the response! Shame to hear that the Verisure hub doesn't support GA. I suppose that was too much to hope for.
I'm honestly not interested in going the Yale hub route if I can avoid it. I have a mostly Nest household (Hello, IQ cams, Protect, Secure) that I brought over with me when I relocated to Norway. The only reason I picked up the Doorman is because my Nest X Yale lock would require some pretty heavy modification to my front door to get working, and I suspect it would probably not be covered by insurance in the event of a break-in.
As a compromise, I was hoping I could get the Doorman connected to GA (either via a Verisure hub but preferably through my existing Smartthings hub) without the need to spend too much to make it happen!
Thanks for sharing that link. I will peruse it with Google Translate and see what I can learn. Hopefully somewhere out there will have connected the Doorman to Smartthings...

I believe this is module: https://www.elkjop.no/product/smarte-hjem/smart-sikkerhet-overvakning/elektronisk-dorlas/18185/yale-smartmodul-til-doorman-v2n-las?scid=Pricecomparison2988&utm_source=prisguiden&utm_medium=Pricecomparison&utm_campaign=prisguiden&utm_content=Consumer%20Electronics
I'd honestly like to avoid getting yet ANOTHER hub! appreciate if anyone has any insight:)

Similar considerations of smart-house systems can be seen in many threads here, but the latest is this one:
